The COEX TIJ coding printer puts best-before dates, batch numbers, barcodes and QR codes straight onto your packaging or label. Thermal inkjet up to 600 DPI, on cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, film and wood. STC supplies the printer as a complete set and can help with installation if you wish.
Built for codes that have to be right
Sharp up to 600 DPI
Alphanumeric text, linear and GS1 barcodes, 2D and QR codes, logos and variable data such as dates and batch numbers.
Keeps up to 200 m/min
A light sensor detects the product and the encoder measures the belt speed, so the code lands in the right place at the right length.
Up to 100 mm print height
Connect up to four print heads of 12.7 or 25.4 mm high. A single print can be up to 3000 mm long.
Easy to operate
Create layouts on the 7-inch touchscreen or load them via USB. Ethernet and RS232 are available to connect to your systems. Aluminium housing.
The ink makes the difference
COEX uses HP-certified cartridges filled with 47 ml of its own ink. That is over 10% more than the usual 42 ml, so you change cartridges less often and each one lasts longer.
Even at a lower DPI setting the code stays sharp and easy to scan. That means more codes per cartridge without giving up readability. Black ink is available solvent-based (fast-drying) and water-based; which works best depends on your packaging. The ink adheres to porous and non-porous materials and is smudge-proof and UV-resistant.

From belt speed to a readable code
The print head is mounted above or beside your conveyor, or directly on a labelling machine. The light sensor gives the start signal and the encoder keeps the print in step with the belt speed, so the code stays in the same place even when the speed changes.
