A wrapper is only as fast as its infeed
Behind an existing weighing line we installed a fully automatic Automotion infeed with a horizontal flow wrapper. The weighing line was already there; what was missing was a way to get the trays to the wrapper at a steady pace.
A flow wrapper gets its speed from regularity. If product arrives in gaps and peaks, the machine never runs at its real capacity. The Automotion infeed absorbs that irregular flow and turns it into a nicely constant stream, so the flow wrapper is used to the full and its maximum speed is actually reached.
