Together with one of our regular partners, STC built and delivered a complete weighing and vacuum packing line in Portugal — assembled from carefully selected pre-owned machines, reconditioned in our own workshop and brought together into one line that does exactly what the customer asked for.

The challenge

The customer’s question was perfectly clear: automatically weigh and vacuum pack 5 kg bags of fries. No more and no less.

No wish list of features that would never be used, no oversized specification to grow into one day. One job, done well, at an investment that suits the company behind it.

That is exactly the kind of brief where proven pre-owned machines prove their worth — provided someone takes responsibility for turning separate machines into one working line.

Built from proven machines, rebuilt around one process

Together with one of our regular partners we assembled the complete line from carefully selected pre-owned machines and equipment. Every machine was judged on its condition, on how well it suited the process and on how well it would work together with the rest of the line.

All relevant parts were then thoroughly reconditioned by STC before they came anywhere near the installation.

Custom-built where the process called for it

Not everything can be bought off the shelf. Where the customer’s layout, product flow or process called for it, equipment was purpose-built and adapted for this project. That work in between — the transfers, the frame, the controls, the product handling — is what turns a collection of good machines into a production line.

STC took responsibility for the complete technical solution. The line was assembled, integrated, installed and commissioned in Portugal and handed over fully working, to the customer’s satisfaction.
