What we did to this machine

Seven points from the rebuild, marked on the machine itself.

New cutting nozzles

The sapphire nozzles that shape the water jet were replaced.

All hydraulics renewed

Every hydraulic line and every component was replaced.

Motors and bearings

Motors and bearings were replaced during the rebuild.

Stripped and repainted

The machine was taken apart down to the bare frame and repainted.

Back in production

Rebuilt, tested and back at work at Uitgekookt, where it cuts meal components.

High-pressure pump

Behind this panel sits the pump that brings the water up to cutting pressure. It was gone through and tested during the rebuild.

Hood and cutting chamber

The hood lifts for cleaning. Underneath it, the cutting chamber and the drive belts lie completely open.

Stripped down to the frame

This Watercut 172 LX came out of production in working order, but it was due for a thorough overhaul. Instead of patching it up, we took it completely apart and rebuilt it with reconditioned and new parts.

All the hydraulics were renewed. Motors and bearings were replaced, new cutting nozzles were fitted and the machine was repainted before it went back together and was tested.

Cutting without a blade

A Watercut cuts with a high-pressure water jet instead of a blade. Nothing solid touches the product, so there is no pressure on it and no blade that goes blunt or needs sharpening. The jet follows programmed shapes, straight or complex, and the machine holds more than 500 cutting programmes.
